25th Annual Red Hook Fest Coming To Erie Basin Park This Summer
The annual music, dance and art festival returns In June, this time moving to Ikea's Erie Basin Park, organizers said.

RED HOOK, NY — The 25th annual arts celebration, the Red Hook Fest, returns to the neighborhood this summer, this time moving to Ikea's Erie Basin Park for more space, organizers announced.
Dance Theatre Etcetera will host their yearly festival on June 1 and 2 with music and dance performances, kayak rides and community cookout and more.
This year's event, which usually draws more than 5,000 people, will move from Valentino Park to Erie Basin to increase capacity because organizers expect more attendees.

The festival kicks off on June 1 with a community cookout at the Patrick F. Daly School, 71 Sullivan St., with music by DJ Mikey Palms and local performers.
The next day the festival kicks off from 2 to 7 p.m. with performances by Ronald K. Brown/Evidence, the Bombazo Dance Company, the Soul Science Lab, Peliroja and more. The event will also have youth dance groups, community groups, a scavenger hunt and more.
