'Daily Show' Co-Creator To Perform At Gowanus Reproductive Rights Fundraiser
Lizz Winstead is one of the performers scheduled at an upcoming Gowanus fundraiser for the Lady Parts Justice League.

GOWANUS, BROOKLYN — An upcoming Gowanus fundraiser benefiting the comic-oriented activists of the Lady Parts Justice League will include a set from Lizz Winstead, the organization's founder and co-creator of "The Daily Show."
The Justice League describes itself as a "non-profit rapid response creative production team, made up of comedy writers, comedians and activists, on call 24/7 to make videos, artistic memes and create national actions that respond instantly to the breaking news surrounding reproductive rights issues." The organization's work includes videos, workshops, and shows around the country.
A Gowanus fundraiser benefiting the group, officially titled "Snatch Back!" will take place on Jan. 19 from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. The gathering is being presented by events promoter Gemini & Scorpio (for privacy reasons, the group asks you to enter your email address at the bottom of this page to get the fundraiser's address).

According to organizers, the evening's entertainment will include nine acts, including one from Dayna Kurtz (an "angry depressed Jewess who writes spiritual drinking hymns for atheists"), and another from Mistress Couple (a "dominatrix with a sub-specialty in political humiliation...who will do unspeakable things to a willing victim in a Trump mask for our cathartic pleasure."
Plus, attendees will also get to see a comedy set from Winstead.
