Gowanus' Newest Luxury Apartment Complex Features Insane Mural
The apartments keep with the "boot-strap industrial flavor embodied by this neighborhood."

GOWANUS, BROOKLYN — Gowanus' newest luxury apartment complex bills itself as an "an unparalleled boutique living experience" that keeps with the "boot-strap industrial flavor embodied by this neighborhood."
And in service of that last point, apparently, the designers at 203 Ninth Street have unveiled a huge mural on one side of the building featuring, among other things, a bald eagle, a Revolutionary War soldier, brewing equipment, the Kentile Floors sign and more.
People in the area started posting about the mural in the last couple of weeks.

The mural is the work of Dutch artist Eelco 'Virus' van den Berg, according to Ideal Properties Group. The mural is meant to fuse "the past, present and future of Gowanus’ once primarily industrial identity," a press release from the real estate firm says.

"We are expecting significant attention for our latest Gowanus residential project," Jennifer Bocian, Director of Business Development at Ideal, said in the release. "The meticulous construction and head-turning mural create an alluring combination of comfort and cutting-edge style."
The building includes one- and two-bedroom units going for anywhere between $2,850 per month for a one-bedroom of $4,600 per month for a two-bedroom, according to Streeteasy.
A website for the rentals boasts about "a daily opportunity to take in impeccable views of lower Manhattan and the New York Harbor from your balcony or the shared landscaped roof deck."
