Here's Citi Bike's Expansion Plan for Gowanus and Red Hook

The installations will begin in August, according to Motivate, which operates the bike sharing system.

GOWANUS AND RED HOOK, BROOKLYN — Citi Bike has unveiled its expansion plans for Gowanus and Red Hook.

Installations of the new rental locations will begin in August, according to Dani Simons, a spokeswoman for Motivate, which operates the Citi Bike system.

However, specific installation dates aren't yet available for particular stations, she said.

Citi Bike's annual membership fee is $155. Public housing residents, as well as members of certain Community Development Credit Unions, can receive $60 annual memberships that can be billed in $5 monthly installments.

Additionally, anyone with an IDNYC can get 15 percent off their first year's membership.

The bike network plans to expanding further into Brooklyn in 2017, bringing rental locations to Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights, Crown Heights and Bed-Stuy.
