Man Found Dead In His Car In Red Hook: Cops

Police found the 38-year-old man slumped in his car near Clinton and Bay Street on Wednesday.

RED HOOK, BROOKLYN — Police are investigating the death of a man who they found slumped in his car on Wednesday morning.

Officers got a 911 call around 9:45 a.m. about an unconscious man in his car near the Bay Street and Clinton Street intersection, police said. When they arrived, police found 38-year-old Kenneth Powell slumped over the front drivers's seat.

EMS responded and pronounced Powell dead at the scene.

Powell, who lived nearby on 37th Street, didn't have any obvious signs of trauma. Police said there is no criminality expected at this time, but that the investigation is ongoing. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
