Man Punched In Face While Trying To Sell iPhone In Gowanus: NYPD

And the robber made off with the iPhone, police say.

GOWANUS, BROOKLYN — A man who met up with another man in Gowanus to buy his iPhone instead punched the seller and took made off with the gadget without paying, the NYPD said over the weekend.

The attempted sale happened on Tuesday, around 7:20 p.m. on President Street between Fourth and Third avenues, police said. The pair had agreed to the transaction on social media, police said.

When the victim handed over the phone, though, the would-be buyer punched the victim in the face and fled west on President Street, according to police.

He is still at large.
