Starbucks-Owned Bakery Moving Into Red Hook's Tesla Office

Italian bakery Princi is opening a kitchen and bakery in an office building currently used by Tesla.

RED HOOK, BROOKLYN — An Italian bakery that was just bought by Starbucks is moving into an office space in Red Hook currently used by Tesla Motors, according to multiple reports.

Starbucks bought Princi last year to make bread and pastries for its new upscale coffee chain, Reserve Roastery. Now, Princi is going to set up a large baking operation at 160 Van Brunt Street, on the corner of Summit Street, joining Elon Musk's electric car company in the office building, according to The Real Deal.

The bakery and commissary may eventually open to the public, but for now will serve as a hub for making food for Roastery, according to the New York Post.
