MANHASSET, NY — It was an offer that comedian Adam Sandler just could not refuse — all-you-can-drink milkshakes for Milkshake Monday.

The comedian returned Monday to a Long Island International House of Pancakes — where he previously was unwittingly rejected by a hostess who told him there was a 30-minute wait for a table — for a charity event inspired by his cheeky take on her viral TikTok video.

In a tweet last week, he said he left the restaurant because the “nice woman” told him the all-you-can-eat deal didn’t apply to milkshakes. IHOP’s management responded by offering all-you-can-drink milkshakes across Long Island.

Hostess Dayanna Rodas shared a hug with Sandler at the IHOP, on Northern Boulevard in Manhasset, outdoors next to a tent with tables containing milkshakes, according to a photo on her Instagram account where she wrote: “Yesterday was so exciting!! Got to meet him...again.”

Sandler later tweeted: “Thank u IHOP for Milkshake Monday.”

Rodas’ TikTok video featured security footage with "Be a clown" by Osuna playing in the background, as well as a photo of herself in clown makeup, noting, "Not realizing its Adam Sandler and telling him it's a 30min wait and him ofc leaving bc hes not going to wait 30mins for IHOP.”

The video went viral quickly and has been viewed 2.3 million times.

IHOP also offered a $1 donation on all milkshakes sold — up to $50,000 worth — across the United States as part of a fundraiser to support comedians affected by the shutdown of live venues due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
