Children's Center Awarded $49K In Funding To Help Manhasset/Great Neck Youths

The Manhasset/Great Neck Encouraging Our Children Center​ will use the funding to expand their key programs.

The Manhasset/Great Neck Encouraging Our Children Center was the recent recipient of $49,000 in state funding to help expand the programs working with local youths.

“The wonderful staff at the Manhasset/Great Neck E.O.C. provides children with essential programs and services that pave the way for a successful future,” Sen. Elaine Phillips, who helped secure the funding, said in a press release. “This funding will help the E.O.C with key programs for children of all ages and help to ensure they have the opportunity to grow and learn in a safe environment.”

Through the E.O.C.'s summer program, children learn self-esteem, self-confidence and responsibility through various educational activates and sports.

“We really appreciate this funding because it will give us the opportunity to do more programs with the youth in the community,” Stephanie Chenault, the Executive Director of the E.O.C., said.
