Drug Dealer Charged In Great Neck Plaza Overdose Death: Police

A Queens man faces drug-dealing charges stemming from an overdose death, Nassau County police say.

Juan Altagracia, 31, of Woodside, faces counts of 3rd-degree unlawful possession of a controlled substance and 3rd-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, police said.

GREAT NECK PLAZA, NY — A Queens man has been arrested and facing drug-dealing charges in connection with an overdose death over the summer in Great Neck Plaza.

A person overdosed and died June 29, Nassau County police told Patch. Narcotics detectives investigated the death and arrested Juan Altagracia, 31, of Woodside, around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Altagracia faces numerous counts of 3rd-degree unlawful possession of a controlled substance and 3rd-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

He was expected to appear in Mineola court Wednesday.
