Memorial Day Fireworks Extravaganza at North Hempstead Beach Park
Kick off the summer season with live music, fireworks and more on Saturday.

Members of the community can kick off the summer season with a Memorial Day Fireworks and Commemoration Ceremony at North Hempstead Beach Park on Saturday.
The extravaganza will feature musical entertainment from U2 tribute band Unforgettable Fire and FiveStone, who will play popular 1980s hits. Members representing Girl Scouts of Nassau County will also lead the pledge at the start of the event.
Those who come for the entertainment can also enjoy a walking path along the water and picnic areas.

The program kicks off at 6 p.m. and the fireworks begins once it becomes dark.
“Our Memorial Day Fireworks Ceremony is always a wonderful way to kick off the summer,” Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth said in a press release. “By recognizing our Veterans we have the opportunity to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our freedom.”

The event is run by the Memorial Day Fireworks and Commemoration Ceremony and sponsored by NEFCU.
The event is free but vehicles will be charged a $10 parking fee.
