Pirate Pete's Parrot at the Gold Coast Arts Center

Special musical for children and families comes to Great Neck from the Secret Theatre in Long Island City

Don’t miss out on this wonderful performance that is being presented specially at the Gold Coast Arts Center by Richard Mazda of The Secret Theatre! The musical promises to deliver fun for all ages.

Climb aboard, get your sea legs steady and get ready for adventure with the children’s musical Pirate Pete’s Parrot! In the tradition of English pantomime shows (first produced in the 1700s and still wildly popular today), Pirate Pete’s Parrot delivers music, mischief and a boatload of laughs for both children and adults.

The play revolves around Pete, a lovable rogue on a mission to find his runaway parrot, Polly. He decides it  can’t hurt to try to find some buried treasure as well, since he’s already on a journey. He still needs to make this month’s rent, after all. With Pete’s endearing crew of misfits, his adventures are filled with songs, sword fights and plenty of audience interaction!
