PSEG says it will be conducting helicopter inspections of its substations and towers, beginning June 13.

GREAT NECK, NY — PSEG, the electric services company that powers Long Island, will be conducting helicopter inspections of its substations and towers, beginning June 13.

A Great Neck Plaza official tells Patch that the aerial inspections will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through June 25, weather permitting. PSEG's territories are in Nassau County, Suffolk County, and the Rockaways.

The exact flight path is unclear — but a Great Neck official says crews will start in Nassau County and work their way east.
