Before you know it, summer will be here, and now is the time for savvy parents to enroll their children in the Gold Coast Arts Center’s highly popular summer programs: The SummerArts Camp and the Half-Day Junior Camp. And, as a special offer, parents signing up their kids by March 12, 2019, can save $25 per week!

The SummerArts Camp, which begins on July 1st and goes through August 23rd is geared toward children ages 6-14 and runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and includes lunch and a snack. The Half-Day Junior Camp is for kids pre-K to age 6 and operates from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and includes a nut-free morning snack.

Knowing that youngsters have a wide range of creative interests, the Gold Coast Arts Center has organized weekly sessions that offer something for everyone, including cartooning, crafts, drawing and painting, musical theater, 3D art, dance, chess, acting, wood workshop, and more.

New for the summer of 2019 is “Rock On” which provides kids the chance to become a rock star by singing and playing an instrument. Most of our weekly sessions end with either a performance or display, showcasing what the children have learned throughout their art camp experience.

The range of options allows for flexible scheduling where children can attend sessions from as little as one week to all eight weeks.

“Children who have attended previous summer arts camps here look forward to enrolling again for a chance to explore and fulfill their creative sides while having great fun, too,” says Ellen Schiff, school director at the Gold Coast Arts Center. Ms. Schiff reminds parents that the programs fill up quickly, and encourages parents to register soon, especially before March 12th to take advantage of the early-bird discount that will save them $25 per weekly session.

All camps take place at the Gold Coast Arts Center, 113 Middle Neck Road in Great Neck, NY, 11021. Tuition depends on the duration of attendance, and reduced rates are available for members of the Center.
