4 Harlem Eateries Get $20K Grants, Classes To Help With Reopening

DoorDash chose 20 restaurateurs in New York City to take part in its new program to help restaurants impacted by the coronavirus crisis.

HARLEM, NY — Four Harlem eateries among the 20 New York City restaurateurs that will get help rebounding from the coronavirus crisis from DoorDash, the company announced Wednesday.

The accelerator program was created with Accion Opportunity Fund, a nonprofit small business lender and support organization.

The entrepreneurs chosen will get a $20,000 grant and participate in an eight-week restaurant operator course, including hands-on mentorship and small business advising, Door Dash said.

Here are the four Harlem restaurants that were chosen:

"Participants were selected because they have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to their communities and shared a clear, actionable plan of how they’d use the resources from this program," the company wrote.
