'A Great Night in Harlem' Concert to Feature Dr. John, Bruce Willis, John Mayer
The 15th annual charity concert put on by the Jazz Foundation of America will be this October.
HARLEM, NY — The 15th annual "A Great Night in Harlem" will feature an eclectic mix of performers, including Dr. John, John Mayer and Bruce Willis.
The annual concert benefits the Jazz Foundation of America, an organization which helps jazz and blues musicians with medical, housing and legal assistance. The organization says it's particularly focused on helping elderly and veteran musicians.
This year's concert will be Oct. 27 at its annual location, Apollo Theater. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Dr. John will be performing, as well as being honored with the Hank Jones Award. Jones, a jazz pianist who died in the Bronx in 2010, was given a Grammy for Lifetime Achievement in 2009.
In addition to Dr. John, there will be appearances by the John Mayer Trio, actor (and, yes, singer) Bruce Willis, blues guitarist Robert Cray and soul musician Robert Randolph. Willis also performed in 2014.

The concert was headlined by Rolling Stones' guitarist Keith Richards last year, who performed to honor "Gimme Shelter" singer Merry Clayton.
While the show isn't until October, tickets are on sale now. They start at $75 for individual tickets.
