Long Island City Vaccine Hub To Move Locations
The reopening of high schools will force the Aviation High School vaccine hub to move to a new spot in the neighborhood this week.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — The reopening of high schools will force Long Island City's vaccine hub to move to a new location.
The vaccination site at Aviation High School (45-30 36th St.) will move on Thursday to a new spot at 5-17 46th Rd., near the corner of Fifth Street.
Residents with appointments have been notified by text, call and email about the change, and signage and staff will redirect people who show up at the former site, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene said.

Staff will try to reschedule people with existing appointments at the old location to the same day and time at the new site. If the rescheduled time does not work, people can reschedule for a new time, the city said.
The Aviation High School site first opened in mid-January in the early weeks of the city's vaccination campaign.
