HARLEM, NY – Harlem's Street Corner Resources recently received a $5,000 donation to help the program's online and technology programs offered through its neighborhood Peace Cafe.

The donation from Spectrum was made as part of the fourth annual Street Corner Resources Day, which recognizes the organization's work in the community.

The donation will be used to purchase a variety of technical enhancements that will allow participants to utilize virtual programming and online resources during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Street Corner Resources has long been in need of greater funding for the Peace Cafe, a place where young people come to perform, produce music, share their stories and just be themselves," said Street Corner Resources CEO Iesha Sekou in a prepared statement. "At a time when many young people do not have anything to do because of the COVID-related shutdown of schools, community centers and recreational outlet's Spectrum's gift will help our young people engage in productive, safe and creative activities."
