2 LI Students Receive Special Surprise During Assembly
The two elementary school students got an unexpected visitor during the assembly Tuesday. Check out the photos in the article.

SMITHTOWN, NY - Two local elementary school students got a special surprise during an assembly Tuesday afternoon.
During the assembly at Forest Brook Elementary School in Smithtown, three 5th-grade students were selected to read about their heroes.
The students who were chosen were Brayden Beltrani, Manny Manteiga and Miabela Ortiz.

First Beltrani read about his Poppy, then Manteiga read about his dad and finally Oritz went up and read about her brother, who is an Army military police officer at Fort Hood in Texas.
While reading about her brother, Eric Ortiz, she received a beautiful surprise when he walked through the door. Miabela then went up and gave him a huge hug.

Their brother Emilio Ortiz, a kindergartner who was in the audience, then ran up to get in on the group hug.
