3 Gang Members Arrested; Weapons And Drugs Seized: Suffolk Police
One of the men was wanted on a Nassau County attempted murder warrant, police said.
HAUPPAUGE, NY — Three gang members were arrested Thursday in Hauppauge, including one with a Nassau County attempted murder warrant, Suffolk police said. Drugs and weapons were confiscated in the arrests, police said.
Brandon Hicks, 19, of Hauppauge, had a warrant for attempted murder, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon. He was found by the Suffolk County Police Firearm Suppression Team (FAST) and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, police said.
Hicks was driving a 2012 Infinity G37 on a residential street Thursday at 10:20 a.m. when he noticed officers watching him and drove off, police said. Hicks crashed the Infinity into a Ford pickup truck at the intersection of Motor Parkway and the Long Island Expressway north service road, police said. A tire from the Infinity struck a 2016 GMC Suburban, police said.

Hicks and his two passengers, Jahiem Hayes and Travis Guy, ran off, but were immediately apprehended at 700 Motor Parkway, police said. The occupants of the other cars involved declined medical treatment.
Three loaded handguns, as well as roughly 30 grams of crack cocaine and 35 grams of fentanyl were found in the Infinity, police said. Officers also recovered two loaded handguns, an assault rifle, shotgun and approximately 35 grams of crack cocaine at a home in Hauppauge, police said.

In addition to his warrant charges, Hicks was charged with three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and reckless driving.
Hayes, 19, of Hauppauge, was charged with three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He also had two warrants, police said.
Guy, 18, of Selden, was charged with three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Police did not say which gang the three are accused of belonging to.
Hicks, Hayes and Guy were held overnight at the Third Precinct and are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday.
