Brand New LGBT Center In Hauppauge To Be Unveiled Friday
The new facility will be the nation's largest suburban LGBT center.

HAUPPAUGE, NY - The nation's largest suburban LGBT center in Hauppauge will be unveiled in a grand opening ceremony on Friday.
Nassau County Executive Laura Curran, Suffolk County Presiding Officer DuWayne Gregory and New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli will join LGBT Network President and CEO David Kilmnick to officially kick off Pride Month with the opening of the new facility on 125 Kennedy Drive, Suite 100.
The grand opening will begin at 11 a.m.

The center will assist local residents with the rise of hate crimes nationally and locally.
The 15,000 square foot, first-of-its-kind facility will feature over 7,500 square feet of community space and include a cafe and workforce development program for young people, meeting and conference facilities with the latest technology and audio-visual capability.

The center will also offer expansive health and human service programs including drop-in HIV testing 5 days a week, year-round arts and cultural programs and new programs and additional services for LGBT-headed families and LGBT Immigrants.
The LGBT Network will employ more than 55 full-time staff at the new facility.
