Chamber of Horrors Returns with Three New Scary Attractions

One of Long Island's largest indoor haunt attractions of nearly 20 years returns to Hauppauge with 3 all new-frightengly themed experiences.

October 15, 2019; Hauppauge, NY – Are you ready for the haunt of your life? Chamber of Horrors in Hauppauge, NY is back…and it’s bigger, better and scarier than ever before! As the largest indoor haunted attraction in the region, Chamber of Horrors attracts thousands of fright fans from Long Island to the five Burroughs. The 2019 season promises to be the best yet with even more thrilling and outrageous experiences and a talented cast of more than 50 professional actors dressed in full costume and makeup.

Its Chamber’s Trilogy of Fear features three all-new attractions, new characters, new scares and a few new surprises to keep you guessing! Meet a serial killer named Monty Arbuckle, who owns a magic shop and keeps a life size dollhouse in his basement in Silent Evil. If you make it out alive, take a walk through Malevolence—a place where Nora Scarleton, a mysterious woman who lives in the woods, has vowed to exact revenge on anyone unfortunate enough to enter her church. And, try not to get buried alive by a terrifying snowstorm INDOORS as you enter Cold Blood, where creepy creatures are looking for food and you’re all they’ve got!

Don’t miss the Chamber’s introductory live stage show on a giant movie screen, ominously titled The Board Room. Guests will be treated to an interactive experience that explains the backstories and characters behind all three haunted houses featured this year. The show includes gory visuals, dark humor, intense audio, live actors, special effects and more!

Chamber of Horrors has remained one of Long Island’s most popular indoor haunt attractions for nearly 20 years! Longtime owner and haunt MC, Matt Guiliano says haunted houses and scare themes have become some of the most popular ways to embrace the Halloween season.

“This year, we’ve taken our attractions to a whole new level,” said Guiliano. “Last season, our attendance reached records heights and we expect to break those figures this season. We appreciate all of our loyal fans who support us, and that’s one of the main reasons why we change our attraction and theme each year to make it more thrilling and exciting.”

At the end of every Halloween season, the show’s crew immediately starts planning and preparing for the following year. It takes over eight months to build the haunt, set up the walls to form the layout and create the maze, paint, install trapdoors and make the automated scares. Creative Director and General Manager Robert J. Frankenberg spends most of the year finding new scare props and ghoulish treasures to make each year scarier than the one before. “There’s nothing like this on Long Island. People are going to be blown away this year.”

Located inside Matt Guiliano’s Play Like A Pro baseball training facility, Chamber of Horrors is owned, built and staffed by Halloween industry veterans. Each performance is carefully designed to create a scream of an experience for fans. “Long before we open our doors each night, over 50 actors are transformed into character and they are ready to take the stage,” added Guiliano. “Our professional makeup artists make it look extremely realistic giving our fans a thrilling experience like no other haunt in the area.”
