Hauppauge Residents Approve School Budget
Hauppauge residents headed to the polls Tuesday to vote on a school budget and elect board members.

HAUPPAUGE, NY - Hauppauge residents approved the district's $116,054,674 proposed budget on Tuesday by a margin of 833 to 258.
The budget represents a 2.38 percent spending increase over the current year and a tax levy increase of 2.48 percent.
In the vote for Hauppauge Board of Education members, Rob Scarito, Gary Fortmeyer and David Barshay all ran unopposed. Scarito received 757 votes, Fortmeyer received 771 and Barshay received 735 votes.
