Hauppauge's ULC Robotics Tapped In Federal Offshore Wind Plan
The Long Island energy robotics company was chosen for a federal loan, part of Biden's $3 billion offshore wind initiative.

HAUPPAUGE, NY —ULC Robotics in Hauppauge is one of five New York firms tapped to help develop offshore wind energy as part of a massive new national initiative. This week, President Biden launched a $3 billion offshore wind power plan, designed to greatly increase wind energy on the East Coast.
ULC Robotics in Hauppaugue is the only Long Island company named as one of the National Offshore Wind Research and Development Consortiums loan recipients as part of the initiative. ULC Robotics uses robotics and drones to service energy, utility and industrial projects.
Biden's energy plan, announced Monday, named its goals as creating 30 gigawatts of offshore wind by 2030, which would utilize 77,000 jobs and power 10 million homes. That increase in offshore wind energy would in turn reduce 78 million metric tons of carbon emissions.
