The National Weather Service has issued the following hazardous weather outlook for Long Island:
Due to the recent heavy snowfall across parts of the region, many secondary roadways remain snow covered. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel for the morning commute. In addition, the heavy weight of the snow may bring down tree limbs and power lines.
More than 20,000 PSEG Long Island customers have no power as of 8:47 a.m. Thursday. Check out the power outage map here.
