Hundreds Flock To Duck Donuts For Grand Opening

HAUPPAUGE, NY - Duck Donuts finally opened its doors to hundreds of hungry donut lovers last weekend.

The highly-anticipated new donut shop, located on 586 Veterans Memorial Highway, opened to customers on May 19.

The eatery had a total of 465 customers for the opening, according to owner Veronica Bencivenga.

However, the celebration isn't over. Duck Donuts will be hosting a grand opening event benefiting Angela's House is a local non-profit that helps families with medically fragile children, on June 9.

In preparation, founder Bob Policastro stopped by the donut shop on opening day.
