Islip Town Apple Festival Set For Saturday in Sayville

Annual festival takes place at the Islip Grange.

The Town of Islip Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department will host its annual Apple Festival on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Islip Grange, located at 10 Broadway Avenue in Sayville.

In case of inclement weather, a rain date has been set for Sunday, Oct. 5. Admission is free for all and many activities will be offered at a low-cost, town officials said.

There will be fun for the whole family with more than 200 different vendors and exhibitors present, as well as a Kid Fun Zone. Families will also be able to go pumpkin picking, participate in arts and crafts and enjoy various apple treats. $1 carousel rides are available for children, as well.

Live music is also planned with performances by Slang the Band, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Southband from 12:30 p.m to 4:30 p.m. Plus, there will be a special appearance by B-103 radio station. Food will be available for purchase at the large festival food court. As always, the Apple Culinary Contest will be held and is open to the public.
