Medford Residents Invited to Job Fairs
Companies Seeking Workers to Fill Seasonal, Other Jobs
(HAUPPAUGE, NY, November 17, 2014)--Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone invites residents who are seeking work to participate in one of four onsite recruitment drives this week.
“We are home to many talented workers,” the County Executive said. “Companies know they can find the right workers to fill both seasonal and regular job openings through job fairs we sponsor.”

All four recruiting drives are scheduled for the Suffolk County One-Stop Employment Center at 725 Veterans Memorial Highway, Hauppauge.
On Tuesday, from 9 a.m. to noon, Sears will be seeking to fill 20 positions at its East Northport, Hicksville and Garden City stores. Among the job openings are for Consultative Sales Associates, merchandising and pricing, cashiers, loss prevention workers and backroom employees.

On Wednesday, Fed Ex and Macy’s will be hiring to fill seasonal jobs. From 9 a.m. to noon, Fed Ex will be seeking to hire 15 drivers for its Bohemia location. All applicants must have a valid New York State license.
From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Macy’s will be hiring retail sales workers for its stores in Huntington, Commack, Massapequa, Bay Shore, Lake Grove and Hampton Bays.
From 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, BJG Electronics will be looking to fill numerous positions, including project engineer, drafter, IT help desk and network administrator, facilities work and warehouse positions.
