Man Killed In Crash On Northern State Parkway
There have been three fatal crashes on the Northern State Parkway in the last four days.
HAUPPAUGE, NY — A 49-year-old man was killed in a crash on the Northern State Parkway Saturday night. It was the third fatal crash on the parkway in four days.
New York State Police received a call for a two-vehicle crash on the eastbound parkway west of Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge at about 8:40 p.m. Saturday.
Gerald Ramsaran, of Queens, was driving a 2020 GMC when he struck the rear driver's side of a 2017 Chevrolet, police said. After striking the Chevrolet, Ramsaran lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he died.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 61-year-old Smithtown man, was not injured.
Police are asking for anyone with information regarding the crash to call 631-756-3300.

A 21-year-old woman was killed in a crash on the Northern State Parkway in Dix Hills Friday night. On Wednesday morning, a 47-year-old woman was killed in a crash in the same area of the parkway.
