Man Robs Woman At Gunpoint In Jake's 58 Parking Lot: Police

The man demanded cash from the woman, and she complied, police say. Officers are still looking for the man, police say.

ISLANDIA, NY — A man robbed a woman at gunpoint in the Jake's 58 parking lot in Islandia on Tuesday night, Suffolk police said.

A woman, 46, was walking to her car in the lot of the casino hotel, at 3635 Express Drive North, when a man approached her at 9:55 p.m., police said. The man displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash, police said. The woman gave the man the money, and the man drove off in a black sedan westbound on Express Drive North, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-864-8452 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
