Man Tries To Rob Hauppauge Bank: Police
The man ran away without any money after he demanded cash from the teller, police say. He has yet to be caught, police say.

HAUPPAUGE, NY — A man tried to rob a bank in Hauppauge on Tuesday afternoon, Suffolk police said.
A man entered Bank of America, at 190 Motor Parkway, around 3:05 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding cash, police said. The man ran away without any money, police said.
The suspect was described as white, in his early 20s, between 6 feet 1 inch and 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build, blonde hair, blue eyes and a light complexion, police said. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, backpack, black pants, black sneakers and a white and black bandana covering his mouth, police said.

Detectives asked anyone with information on the attempted robbery to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
