New 7-Eleven Opens In Hauppauge

The latest store for the popular convenience chain held its grand opening this week.

HAUPPAUGE, NY - A new 7-Eleven in Hauppauge recently held its grand opening.

The latest store for the popular convenience chain opened its doors on 1684 Expressway Drive South occupies what was previously a vacant lot.

The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony event was attended by Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen along with the franchisee,Tim Kirchner.

Over the past 22 years, Kirchner has successfully owned and operated eight different gas stations and convenience stores.

He shared the event with his wife and children who were by his side, and expressed his satisfaction for both realizing his dream of owning a 7-Eleven, as well as doing his part to revitalize the community.

Carpenter presented Kirchner and his family with a Town Certificate, marking the work he and his 7-Eleven partners have done to improve the surrounding area.
