HAUPPAUGE, NY — It's hard to believe it's been 18 years since the terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. Everyone remembers where they were that day and what they were doing when they heard the news of the tragedy.

But time never stops flowing. Children yet to be born at the time of the attacks learn about them in school, not having lived through them. That's why now, more than ever, it's important to remember all of the people who died on that day.

Nearly 3,000 people died in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks 18 years ago. Four Hauppauge residents were among those killed.
