SCPD Goes Undercover, Arrests 2 For Selling Alcohol To Minors

The undercover alcohol operation was carried out Friday.

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — A pair of men were arrested on Friday for selling alcohol to minors, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. The arrests came after an undercover alcohol operation made by Suffolk police officers from 6 to 8 p.m.

After visiting nine stores, two businesses sold to undercover agents, police say:

  • BP Gas at 1460 Veterans Memorial Highway, Islandia. The clerk, Bensaiah Haithem, 30, of Holbrook, was charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child.
  • One Stop Deli at 408 Rosevale Ave., Lake Ronkonkoma. The clerk, Patel Vishuvhai, 43, of Ronkonkoma, was charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child.

Haithem and Vishuvhai were issued field appearance tickets and will be arraigned at a later date.

  • Mobil Gas, 1670 Veterans Memorial Highway, Islandia
  • Gulf Gas, 1979 Veterans Memorial Highway, Islandia
  • BP Gas, 402 Rosevale Ave., Ronkonkoma
  • 76 Gas, 440 Hawkins Ave., Lake Ronkonkoma
  • Amoco Gas, 292 Ronkonkoma Ave., Ronkonkoma
  • Speedway Gas, 2825 Middle Country Road, Lake Grove
  • Conoco Gas, 3089 Middle Country Road, Lake Grove
