Woman Found Dead Under Pickup Truck In Islandia: Suffolk Police

ISLANDIA, NY — A woman was found dead in Islandia Tuesday afternoon, and Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating.

Officers found the body of Kelia Gonzalez, 43, of Centereach, under a pickup truck in the parking lot outside 1000 Old Nichols Road after receiving a 911 call around 1:20 p.m. alerting them of a woman on the ground, police said. An autopsy will be done by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine how Gonzalez died.
