Woman Robbed At Gunpoint At Jake's 58 Casino: PD

ISLANDIA, NY — A woman was robbed of cash Monday night in the parking lot of Jake's 58 Hotel & Casino in Islandia, and Suffolk County Police Department detectives are investigating.

A man approached a woman in the parking lot of the casino, at 3635 Express Drive North, displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash around 11:05 p.m., police said. The woman complied, and the man ran to a black pickup truck parked nearby, police said. The truck was driven by a second individual, who drove off in an unknown direction.

The woman was not hurt in the exchange, police said.
