2 Killed in Long Island Crash
One car struck a tree and caught fire. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, police say.

LEVITTOWN, NY – Two people were killed in a fiery crash on the Wantagh State Parkway early Sunday, police said.
According to State Police, a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta heading northbound on the parkway between Hempstead Turnpike and Old Country Road in Levittown rear-ended a 2007 Toyota at about 12:50 a.m.
The impact caused the Volkswagen to leave the roadway and strike a tree. The car then became engulfed in fire.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, ABC 7 reported. Police have not yet released their names.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact State Police Farmingdale at 631-756-3300.
