BETHPAGE, NY — A drunk driver slammed into the back of a police car early Saturday morning and pushed it dozens of feet before coming to a stop, Nassau County police said. The car was unoccupied at the time.

According to police, officers were on Central Avenue in Bethpage after pulling over a person for DWI. The police cars had their lights on. As the officers were placing the person under arrest, an officer who was standing outside of his car saw a Honda Pilot speeding toward them and not slowing down.

The officers were able to get out of the way as the Honda crashed into their car, police said, pushing it about 40 feet before coming to a stop. The officers checked the Honda and found Queviin Quinteros Crespo, 30, of 33rd Street, Copiague, in the driver's seat, police said. He was arrested.
