LONG ISLAND, NY — Rain could be in store for Long Island this weekend, but it seems like Father's Day is going to be nice and sunny.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures are going to be in the upper 80s both Saturday and Sunday. But there's a chance of rain and thunderstorms on Saturday, which could put a damper on weekend plans.
Sunday, though, is supposed to be clear and sunny. Perfect for a Father's Day barbecue.

Tonight: A slight chance of showers between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 88. West wind 9 to 11 mph.
Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 69.
