Fire Breaks Out In Levittown Home

BREAKING: The residents of the two-story home on Long Lane were able to get out of the home safely, Nassau County police said.​

LEVITTOWN, NY — Area firefighters responded to a Levittown home fire early on Wednesday morning, Nassau County police said.

Police said the fire broke out inside a Long Lane home at about 12:30 a.m. and the residents who live there were able to get out safely. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters from Levittown stamped out the fire which encompassed the first and second floor, according to a Facebook post. Other departments placed on alert included Hicksville, North Bellmore, and Wantagh.

It is not clear how the fire started, but responding officers did notice smoke coming from the rear of the home when they first arrived. The investigation is continuing.
