Fundraiser For Family Of Beloved Educator
Mike Verdi died Sunday, Sept. 22, and the community is rallying to support his family.
LEVITTOWN, NY — Following the death of a beloved Division Avenue High School educator, the community is rallying to support a grieving family. Mike Verdi is survived by a wife and three children.
A GoFundMe campaign was started by the Division Avenue English Department to assist Verdi's family to help with the cost of college for his kids.

"Mike's life is an inspiration to me let's keep his spirit alive," one commenter on the GoFundMe page said.
"Somewhere in heaven Mike Verdi is organizing a softball game, a show and a Book Club. Rest In Peace, Mike. The world just lost one of the best," said another.

He will be interred at Holy Rood Cemetery.
