Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Long Island
Hail and 70 mph wind gusts are possible. See when the worst of the weather is expected.

The National Weather Service has now issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Long Island. It will be in effect until 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Quarter-size hail and wind gusts up to 70 mph are possible. The highest chance for storms on the island will be from about 6-9 p.m.
Localized flooding cannot be ruled out due to high rainfall rates and if thunderstorms pass over the same areas.
