LEVITTOWN, NY — A hazardous materials team was sent to a Levittown home Friday night for a leaky outdoor heating oil tank.

The Levittown Volunteer Fire Department arrived at a Needle Lane home around 7:45 p.m. Friday and found a 250 gallon tank leaking.

Special operations crews put a patch over the hole to stop the leak. Large amounts of a speedy dry solution were used to absorb oil on the ground.
