How to Properly Dispose of Your Christmas Tree in Levittown
The holiday season is winding down. Make sure you know how to properly dispose of your live tree.

With the New Year here, the holiday season is in its final days. If you had a live Christmas tree in your house these last few weeks, it's nearly time to get rid of it.
While they look beautiful, the longer you keep a live tree in your house, the more of a fire hazard it becomes. As days go by and the tree dries out, it becomes more and more flammable. So it's important to get it out of your house before tragedy strikes.
In Levittown, the trees are collected by the Town of Hempstead. Christmas trees and wreathes are scheduled to be collected by the town on Wednesday, Jan. 11.
