Island Trees Football Squeezes Past Malverne, 13-8

The Island Trees football team won their regular season finale against Malverne on Friday night, 13-8.

The big play for Island Trees came late in the third quarter. Brian Eletti recorded an interception on defense and returned the ball 60 yards, setting up a 2-yard touchdown run by Tucker Hahn, giving the Bulldogs a 13-8 lead.

Eletti finished the game with two interceptions on defense and 54 rushing yards on offense. John Nicolino anchored the defense with 12 tackles, 11 solo, while Eddie Sanchez also had 11 tackles. John Pascalli ran for 90 yards and a touchdown to lead the offense.

With the win, Island Trees finishes the season at 3-5, while Malverne finishes 4-4.
