The Island Trees Varsity Lacrosse team and Chamber Orchestra members joined forces to collect supplies for Operation Veronica’s Wading River chapter.
Operation Veronica is a group of volunteers dedicated to bringing items of comfort to support the men and women who serve our country’s armed forces. Students contributed toiletries, socks, crossword puzzle books as well as funds to help cover the cost of shipping the supplies abroad.
The lacrosse team and chamber orchestra were part of Island Trees High School’s Annual “Stuff OurShowcase” event. Faculty, staff, clubs, and teams collect gifts for the charity of their choice. All donations are placed in the main lobby showcase throughout the month of December. Items are then sorted by the students and delivered to charities throughout Long Island.
