LEVITTOWN, NY — Levittown firefighters stopped a propane tank from leaking and avoided a dangerous situation over the weekend.

Around 2 p.m. Saturday, the Levittown Volunteer Fire Department was called for a leaky propane tank near Euston and South Berry lanes, officials said. Crews stretched a precautionary hose line to the tank while a special operations team secured the tank, which sustained a broken handle.

Below are photos from the scene.
