At Levittown Stop & Shop, Get Groceries Without Entering Store
Stop & Shop in Levittown is offering a new pickup service that it hopes will give customers a faster, more convenient way to buy groceries.

LEVITTOWN, NY — Stop & Shop in Levittown is offering a new pickup service that it hopes will give customers a faster, more convenient way to buy groceries.
The service will be offered at the Hempstead Turnpike store, near Wantagh Avenue. Shoppers can place a pickup order on Stop & Shop's website, or through the grocery chain's mobile app. Once place, they can head to the store where a worker will load groceries into their vehicle.
To schedule a pickup, customers must click "order online" and select "pickup." Shoppers will receive a pickup time and must park in a designated pickup spot. They also have to call to let the store know of their arrival.

Customers should open their trunk or a door and they're encouraged to wear masks and limit the number of people inside the vehicle. Workers will also wear masks and follow the same sanitizing precautions as inside employees, including surface cleaning and regular handwashing.
"We’re excited to offer our customers the convenience of shopping online for all their favorite items, and then picking up that order from the comfort of their vehicle," Willa Kagan, store manager of the Levittown location, said in a statement. "We hope this service helps make things easier for them."

To use the pickup service, customers have to order at least $30 in items. There will also be a $2.95 service fee applied at checkout.
New customers can receive the service free for three months by entering SSFREEPICKUP at checkout, though a minimum purchase is required. The online pickup fee will be waived on the first order and then on all subsequent orders if placed within 90 days.
The offer is valid for first-time residential customers in select zip codes. The offer, which expires Dec. 31, does not extend to alcohol, gift cards, postage stamps and any other purchases prohibited by law. It is also available only to one person per household.
