A tree-lighting ceremony is planned next week in Levittown. Here's what you need to know.
LEVITTOWN, NY — A tree lighting ceremony is planned in Levittown, featuring food trucks, coffee and hot chocolate.
The ceremony will be held Monday, Dec. 2 at Veterans Memorial Park, in front of Levittown Public Library, the Levittown Chamber of Commerce said. The two-hour-long festivities will kick off at 6 p.m.

1. Food trucks will be serving up tasty dishes this year, including Mama's Cuban Kitchen and DJ Concessions. Attendees can come for dinner, dessert or just a snack, organizers said.
2. Starbucks will dole out free coffee at the tree lighting ceremony. Furthermore, hot chocolate will be available at no charge at the Levittown Public Library.

3. Performances are planned by local schools, dance studios and community groups. Rumor has it that Santa Claus himself will be in attendance too, parents.
4. The commerce chamber will accept donated food and toiletries for neighbors in need. Any food items should be non-perishable.
5. Should Mother Nature have other plans that day, the event will be moved to the main floor of the library.
