New Pizzeria Brings Signature Thin Crust Slice To Levittown

A new pizzeria opened in Levittown bringing thin crust pizza, salads, wings and more.

LEVITTOWN, NY — Levittown has another option to grab a slice. A new pizzeria opened in early September — replacing Faddy Malone's on Hempstead Turnpike — bringing "thin crust" pizza, salads, wings and more.

Riko's Pizza, a small Connecticut chain of pizzerias that chose Levittown for its first New York location, touts its high-quality ingredients as the driver of its "one-of-a-kind" slice. The eatery strives to have patrons feel comfortable bringing friends and family.

"Pizza is a food that brings people together, and we pride ourselves in being a place that can bring people together from all walks of life," Riko's said on its website. "Whether you’re looking to get dinner with friends or grab a drink and a slice with coworkers, Riko’s is the place to be."

The Stamford, Connecticut, location earned a visit from Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports, who rated the slice an 8.2 out of 10. So far, the Levittown location has earned 4.5 stars on Yelp! 4.7 stars on Google reviews, and 5 stars on Facebook.

Ken Gibbons, co-owner of the Levittown location, told Newsday he knew the location from growing up.

"It was not one of those places that kept turning over," he said. "If you put a right product here, the community will definitely take you in."

The pizzeria's 13-inch pies cook in just minutes in a gas conveyor, the newspaper reported.

A warm and inviting interior with lots of natural light, the pizzeria offers a full bar includes wood paneling, several TVs with sports channels. Plexiglass dividers at the bar help patrons stay safely distanced from others in the coronavirus era. The eatery also offers al-fresco dining through rolling garage doors and a window for takeout orders.

Among the early adopters: the folks with Engine932, who raved about the new pizzeria on social media.

"Shout out to Riko’s Pizza of Levittown for the delicious thin crust pizzas and wings for our meeting," the engine wrote in an Instagram post. "Food was excellent ! Can’t wait to come back."
